Here are the upcoming events for our Region. Please mark them on your calendar and plan accordingly. ***SPECIAL MESSAGE AND ANNOUNCEMENT FROM OUR REGIONAL OVERSEER*** Greetings Pastoral and Ministry Team,
Great things are happening in The Church of God of Prophecy! No doubt you have been informed of the growth within our organization. Recently in the General Assembly the GO Bishop Howard informed us of the #'s of growth. We are growing at a rate of 10,000 (yes ten thousand) members monthly. PTL! The blessings of the Father are pouring down with His Holy Spirit and Jesus The Son is saving many souls daily within our pulpits, as a matter of record 500 souls are saved in our churches daily! That is reason to shout and glorify The Lord!
NA Presbyter Bishop Sam Clements was sharing his numbers in the North American churches, and about 1000 members monthly are being added here,PTL! Lots of good news to share.
On another note:
In regards to the Ministers Convention. I have been tossing it around in my head and heart and have conferred with several ministers in regards to holding a Ministers Convention.
The purpose of this would be to hand out calendars, directories, and vision casting for the Region as well as ratifying or going over the assembly rulings for this time.
With all that said, I have thought it best to have a Ministry Involvement Seminar during the SOPAS classes practicums. I am trying to make it easier for each one to attend and so I am consolidating these two events. In Denver Jan Couch will be with us as Stewardship Ministries Director on September 23-26, 2010, and I also am working on having her in Des Moines as well during the SOPAS class as well, in November 11-14, 2010.
So then, with that consolidation, every Minister/leader should be able to attend the 2 for 1 event, so to speak. I have already mentioned this but just a reminder: If you have not attended SOPAS I. you can still attend SOPAS II. since they will be like a college type class not needing one to precede the other.
