“Vision Now Victorious Future”
June 22-24-2007
Bishop Steve Madrid 6-22-24-07
Once again it is with great joy that greet you as Regional Overseer of this great Midwest Region. It hardly seems possible that nine years ago I greeted you for the first time as a newly appointed Overseer. I stood on the platform greeting you for the first time with fear and trembling as I walked into the unknown not knowing what to expect nor having any idea how I would fill this office. Serving in the office of Overseer over several churches is much more difficult that being Overseer of one Church as my wife and I had been doing for the previous 22 years.
Many joyous experiences have come our way and sorrowful events have laid their deep scars in our hearts as well. Through this entire journey, Lord has sustained us. As the writer once wrote in a poem, there were times it seemed we were walking alone but instead He was carrying us through these difficult times.
If not for the Lord, in our lives, where would we be? If not for the Holy Ghost to comfort us, what would our character display? I will be the first to tell you that I alone have accomplished nothing. All that has been achieved within this region has been brought about by the hand of the Lord and through the Strength and Power of the Holy Ghost. If I have ever looked good doing something in the work, it is because the Lord has been with me and has helped me to do what was needed to be done. To God be the Glory, Honor and Praise for all!
Let us praise Him the more, since we cannot fathom Him, for greater is he than all His work. His Majesty is to be greatly honored and wonderful is His power. Lift up your voices to glorify the Lord thou He is still beyond your prayer and praise. Exalt Him with renewed strength and weary not, though you cannot reach the end. For who can see Him and describe Him as He truly is? When He is praised, we become smaller. When He is praised He is exalted and we receive strength from Him. When He is praised, we become less and He becomes more visible. When He is praised, all that is around us becomes less as His presence becomes more real to us.
I must thank the Presbyters for their continued support. I consider them as men of God who truly care for this region and it people. Although I have not used them as much as anticipated, I know I can count on them to be by my side when needed. I appreciate the advice and the input given that has not fallen on deaf ears. Your support and prayers has meant a lot to me and has given me comfort when under pressure.
I thank the Hispanic Field Secretaries for their untiring support of this office and for their great motivation that has helped build the Hispanic Churches. These men of God have been a wall to lean on when I needed the support. Your prayers and moral support has not gone unnoticed. Most of all the one who has placed this calling on your life has seen what you have done and He will reward you astoundingly for your faithfulness. The reward that he will present to you is far greater than any reward man can give.
Thank you Pastors for your hard labor and for the dedication you have displayed for the work of the Lord and His Church. You have been what has kept the Church moving forward in a positive way. It is you who have to care for the Sheep in a way that only you as pastor can do. No one can know your sheep any better than the loving pastor who spends his time with them day after day.
You are the one who’s responsible to feed them and give them the nourishing meals they need. Stay sensitive to the leading of the Holy Ghost, follow Him as He directs, and stay on the path that will lead you into the loving arms of Jesus the Chief Sheppard. I have the deepest appreciation for you the pastor knowing what it is you must go through to develop healthy sheep.
I take this time to commend the pastor who has stepped out on faith and have given up their secular job in order to spend more time in the Word and with the Sheep. For some this has been a lucrative field and an easy road to travel. While for others they have had to fight off the Bears, the Lyons and the grievous Wolves that come in and tend to destroy the fold. In order to safe guard those in there care, you have placed yourself in harms way, but the Spirit of the Lord has been upon you and has given you the strength and wisdom to care for the Sheep.
A Servant Pastor is one who knows they are called to serve others and not themselves. It has been said that the make of a great leader is how sensitive they are to the needs of those they lead. Without exception, great spiritual leaders have a profound sense of accountability. When God chooses a leader to lead his people, He does not by pas character. Unfortunately some churches place more value on charisma than on character
They will choose a pastor who looks impressive, one who will make a good impression at first sight, but often are disappointed when their pastor’s true character comes to light at a later time.
How many times have you as pastor been called on to get up in the wee hours of the morning to go over and pray for someone who is fearful of their sickness? How many times have you as pastor been called upon to go visit someone in deep despair in a jail or halfway house at what seemed to be a very inconvenient time for you? How many times have you been called on your cell phone and have had to listen to someone while standing in the middle of a grocery store, or driving on the road somewhere?
What about the hours you spend in preparation for that Sunday message or that midweek Bible study. You the pastor are appreciated and love by the Madrid’s. My wife and I pray every day for each and every one of you; we pray you will feel the love we have for you.
You have done it no matter how it has cut into your personal time, because you are a
Servant Pastor.
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give (appoint/place) you pastors(companion, friend, one who feeds, cares for) according to mine heart,(the heart of God, cares, loves, compassion, understanding, loving, does not think of self) which shall feed(tend to, provide for) you with knowledge(know how to care for you) and understanding.(instruction)
May I say to this region, be kind and compassionate to one another, and forgive each
other, just as in Christ God forgave you. The Lords prayer reminds us that the call of the
Christian life is to fulfill obligations not only to God but also to one another. The Lords
prayer invites us to a restoration of our relationship with God, as well as calls us to
restore our broken relationship with one another.
Restoration starts with forgiveness. Forgiveness tells someone who has offended us that
they no longer owe us anything. There are no conditions upon forgiveness of Christ
Jesus for His followers. Ask God to grant you the wiliness to forgive completely and
unconditionally. Sometimes the relationship isn’t fully restored, even when we have
extended forgiveness, but if we forgive, we’ve done what God has required of us.
We have churches within driving distance of each other; I want to see the best Christ like relationship with each other; working together and not that of an individual group, we are to reach the lost and unsaved for Christ and His Church. We are blood bought Brothers and Sisters. We belong to the Family of God.
Pastors, you have a great responsibility, this is not the time to abandon the church. Keep church history alive. Church history becomes a thing of the past is not spoken of and studied. Keep the door shut long enough and it will be forgotten. Know why you believe and be ready to support it.
We thank you for the extra offering you send us, for some of you it has become a monthly gift. If truth be known, some of you need this money more that we do, but because of your love for us we understand that you want to do this out of the kindness of your heart and because you love us. I pray our love for you can be felt as if though we were embracing each and every one of you.
My vision for this region is a spirit filled people with life giving churches that are thriving in the Spirit. Reaching out to whom so ever will come, and unite with us in this great work of reaching the lost for Jesus Christ and His Church.
Let us continue to pray and seek the Lord. Let this be a time that will make all churches that are “Spirit Driven” and “Spirit Lead” break out into a revival. A revival that will cause the communities and areas where we are located to take notice that there is a Spirit filled church that is truly “Spirit Lead” and “Spirit Driven” in their neighborhood.
Let there be a new anointing for a new day. “The anointing is when God’s supernatural power supersedes all other laws, regardless of time, circumstances, of events in one’s life or in His Church. The anointing is when God’s supernatural power raises the individual or the church up above all earthly environments and releases the Holy Ghost Power to transform or change circumstances”.
Spirit –Driven
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power after that the holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and onto the uttermost part of the earth.
Is it possible for the church of today to experience a miraculous leadership of the experience of the Holy Ghost? What took place in the book of Acts may be realized in today’s church. Today we need ministers that are driven and lead by the Spirit.
What does the Spirit do?
He imparts wisdom-knowledge-and understanding.
He brings to remembrance those things that have been seen, heard and studied.
He brings boldness when called upon and gentleness when needed.
When the vials are up, He will tare them down.
He will bring strong men to their knees and weak men will stand strong and firm whenever he is present.
He brings revival to the sleepy and dying churches and will cause them to launch out into the enemy’s territory without fear.
He brings anointed preaching from the pulpit while at the same time, anoints the hearing to receive.
Lives are forever changed and changed lives are forever committed to the service of the Lord.
Spirit driven and Spirit lead churches are for the poor and wealthy. It is for those that are in good health and to those who are sick. This church belongs to the discarded and un- loved. It is for those who are willing to make changes and follow the written word of God. These types of churches are not cold and indifferent. Being cold just simply means, “absence of heat”. The Spirit brings fire and whenever this fire is present, one cannot sit still.
Spirit driven and Spirit lead churches bring repentance, intersession and expectation. Vision is renewed and where there is vision people do not parish.
The Spirit brings us back to the Word.
Luke 24:32 tells of an experience of two disciples that were on the road to Emaus. These disciples describe their experience with the Word as He walked with them. “It felt like fire burning in us when Jesus…explained the scriptures to us” The two Emaus bound pilgrims discovered the power of the scripture that first Easter Sunday morning.
They were brokenhearted from the crucifixion experience. Sadness was written across their faces. They allowed their pain to blind them to the presence of Jesus. He had risen for the dead and they did not yet recognize Him. He’d come to take their sorrow but how?
Jesus told them the writings of Moses and the Prophets explaining from all the scriptures the things concerning Him. He opened their eyes, lifting their heavy hearts with scripture. Spirit driven- lead churches are not rude, self serving or showboating in an attempt to impress others.
If you are going to teach…teach in the Spirit.
If you are going to sing…sing in the Spirit
If you are going to preach. preach in the Spirit.
If you are going to prophesy. Prophesy in the Spirit.
If you are going to give a word of knowledge…give the word in the Spirit.
Pastors, Ministers get into the Spirit and be driven by Him. Be driven by Him to minister and lead the church in these last days.
From the upper room they were driven out into the streets to minister to those who were near by and would receive the word. 3,000 were added unto them that day and their after such as should be saved were added to the church daily.
Spirit driven-lead churches do not judge one another but instead support each other.
They do not support only those whom they think are the best teachers, preachers or their favorite pastor; they go beyond all that and work as a team to help build where they have been planted. Spirit driven-lead churches pray one for another and pray away the negative thoughts and feelings.
In the upper room the Spirit came in as a rushing mighty wind/sound…. He was heard and anytime there is noise receives attention!
He appeared as cloven tongues of fire…He was seen and when something is seen it is received!
He sat upon each and every one of them…. He was felt and absorbed!
When something is absorbed it causes a change in the life of people.
100 Days of Prayer/120 Days of Prayer:
General Overseer Randy Howard promoted 100 days of prayer for the Church of God of Prophecy. This started October 1st and ended January 8th of 2007.
For this region, I asked to make it 120 days of prayer and end it on Sunday the 28th of January 2007. Immediately calls came in stating there was a change in the atmosphere of the congregation. Some reported healings, anointed preaching, dancing, shouting and quality time at the altar. Some said they wanted to keep on praying while others said they saw the Lord walking among them.
We have entering a new phase in the church. It appears that through all the changes in the past few years, some have become confused and have lost their sense of direction. Every organization has a time where changes take place and the sheep seem to get disoriented.
I encourage you to stay in the boat, don’t jump ship. It may appear that the waters are raging and about to sink the Ship. She may be rocking with the waves of this world and at times seem to almost break apart, I say to you, hang on and get your sea legs under you balance yourself for this ride will soon be over.
If the ship rolls over on her side and it looks like this is the end for all on board, hang on. If this ship was build properly and all the right material has gone into building this ship, no matter what position she may be in the waters, she will right herself.
We still need God, we need His direction, guidance and we need Him to walk with us
every day. James speakers about prayer in James 5:16 Confess (acknowledge) your
faults (errors) one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed(cured).
The effectual (active) fervent (passionate, great emption) prayer of a righteous man
availeth(gives, produce, accomplish) much.
Let me give another view of “Availeth” The word avail also comes from the Latin word
“Valere” which means “to be strong”. Our English words such as “valor, valiant, and
value” come from this same word. James is saying that our prayers are strong. They
literally battle for us, intercede for others, and speak our hearts before God. They are
valuable, and they produce results.
Think of the power of prayer in this manner. What we do for the Lord is entirely
dependent upon what we receive form the Lord, and what we receive for the Lord is
entirely, dependent upon what we are in the Lord, and what we are in the Lord is
entirely dependent upon the time we spend with the Lord in prayer. When we approach
God in prayer we must go to Him with confidence that James inspires. Totalize that
prayers from a righteous heart holds the power of a valiant warrior!
It is through prayer that the word of God comes alive in a way that no other text in the
history of man has ever been or ever will be. I encourage you to take the time to steal
away form the crowd as Jesus did in Mathew 6: 6 and pray to the Father in secret.
Jesus taught his disciple to pray in secret and to expose themselves like no one can
expose themselves when there is an audience.
Slip away to a quite place and enter into the Master’s presence. Why be encouraged to
pray in such a way? In this private moment is when we build a strong intimacy with
God. That’s when we become more like Him!
For the next 12 months, starting with the month of July, 2007, I am calling this
region to fasting and prayer for effectiveness and for revival. Already there may be a
few that are somewhat uncomfortable with this knowing this type of commitment
cuts into our comfort zone.
Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Isa 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? When thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Isa 58:9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am.
Purpose:
To “loose the bands of wickedness” Freeing ourselves and others from a sin filled life. To help others brake free from their bondage. Matt.17; 21 Disciples could not cast out devils. Jesus said this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
To “undo the heavy burdens” To solve problems, inviting the Holy spirits aid in lifting loads and overcoming barriers that keep ourselves and our loved ones from walking joyfully with the Lord. Ezra8:23 says they fasted
To “let the oppressed (physically and spiritually go free)” for revival and soul winning, to be used of God to bring people out of the kingdom of darkness and into the Kingdom of God. 1Sam 7:6 states that they fasted that day because they had sinned against the Lord.
To “break every yoke.” Conquering the mental, and emotional problems that would control our lives, and returning the control to the Lord.
To share “our bread with the hungry” and to care for the poor, and to meet the humanitarian needs of others.
To allow Gods “light to break forth like the morning”, bringing clear prospective, and insight as we make crucial decisions. Acts 9:9 tells us that Paul was three days without sight and neither ate nor drank.
To “gain a healthier life or for healing.” Daniel 1:8 tells how he would not defile himself with the portion of the kings table.
That “your righteousness shall go before you” our testimonies and influence for Jesus would be enhanced before others.
That “the glory of the Lord” will protect us from the evil one. Ester 4:16; 5:2 Ester, her attendance and cousin Mordecai all fasted to appeal to God for protection.
Will you join me? Lets’ have a “Vision” for this work with a “Victorious Future”.
Bishop Steve Madrid
Midwest Regional Overseer (MN, IA, NE)
June 24-26, 2005 Midwest Regional Convention Address
First of
all I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving us the
strength to continue in this capacity as Regional Overseer of the
Midwest Region. These past two years have been a proving ground for
my Wife and me in this Ministry.
I also
want to thank my Wife for standing with me through this trying time.
Without her support and strength I could not have made it this far.
We appreciate those who have been a source of comfort to us. When we
needed to talk and visit with someone to just express ourselves and
expose our true feelings, you were there to listen and spend time
with us.
We thank
those of you who have supported us with your prayers and sacrificed
your time just to be with us. Several of you have been the sounding
board for me and my Wife for the past year. You were never to busy to
visit with us and to share your joy of the Lord.
We
have shared a great loss in the passing of our only Son Nathaniel.
The lord has been true to his word when he said “I
will never leave you nor forsake you”, “and
lo I am with you always even unto the ends of the World Amen”. Mathew 28:20
Also
when He stated in John 14:18 “I
will not leave you comfortless”and in John 16:7 He promised to send another comforter. My Wife and I have truly
experienced the Holy Ghost, the great comforter in our lives. Where
would we be today without this promise.
How
could we ever think that life can go on in peace without the strength
and comfort of the Holy One, the Mighty
One the Loving One the Sovereign
One. Yes He has allowed us to be tried with fire; we have
walked through this fire but not alone. As He was there with the
three Hebrew Children Meshack, Shadrack and Abendego as they walked
around in the fiery furnace, He has been walking around with us
through this fiery furnace.
Throughout
the years in Ministry, the enemy has tried to knock me down to my
knees in surrender to him; blow by blow I was gradually being knocked
down until I was on my knees. Battered and bruised, at times not able
to see my opponent. This time he thought he had me right where he
wanted me.
Attempting
to knock me out for the count and him walking away with the victory,
instead he knocked me down to my knees in submission to the Lord of
Lords and the King of Kings my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For I
know whom I have believed in and am persuaded that He is able to keep
that which I have committed. II Timothy 1:12
It is
therefore with subdue feeling in Spirit that I greet this Convention
for the last days Church in the Midwest Region. I find it difficult
to express in words the humble feeling I have when I think of how
many qualified Men who could no doubt better fill this position as
your Regional Overseer. However through Gods plan of theocracy “thou
mysterious as it may be” I was selected to serve in this
honored position for this region.
I
sincerely consider it an honor to be associated with such refined and
talented people. After having worked with you for nearly seven
years, it is my firm belief that any state or nation would be
hard-pressed to come up with a team of Ministers that could surpass
in caliber our Midwest Region Ministry.
Ministers,
Auxiliary leaders and the rank and file of church membership are to
be commended for withstanding the on slot and violent attacks of the
enemy throughout the past two years. Isn’t it a wonderful
feeling to have victory over our adversary the devil. Hallelujah!
I am aware
of the fact that you have walked with fever toward advancing the
cause of Christ and His Church. Several of you have encountered many
difficulties. But you have been consistent in the faith and
persistent in the battle, never wavering in faith nor yielding to
temptations. Though the circumstances have been unfavorable at times
you have labored on with vision and have tunneled your way through
the difficult times and places.
It always
seems difficult for me to search out the correct words or use the
right fraises to express my deep appreciation for all my co-workers
who work so faithfully and cooperate so beautifully to make our task
easier.
I
trust that the Lord will help you to know and understand that I
sincerely love, honor and appreciate every one of you. I am
convinced that after hearing you preach and teach that it has become
apparent that soon our Lord will return. We live today with a great
anticipation of this great and wonderful event. Our days are fleeing
away quickly. Job 9:26
It seems
that you no sooner see him coming until you see him going. He said
now my days are swifter than a post “or currier”; they
flee away. Before we know it, our allotted days on planet earth will
be used up and it will be our time to step off the stage of mortal
action.
We
are laborers together.
The
theme I have chosen for the next two years is:” Building
Bridges with Purpose and with Vision”.
What is a
bridge for? A bridge is for access, adoption, affection. It is to
assist the afflicted to build an alliance and assurance. To build a
bridge one must have a plan and unity in labor is a must. A building
project is completed much quicker and correct when all who are
working are in agreement. The “Do your own thing concept” has been the down fall of many and several have made shipwreck of
their lives and ministries through ignoring government.
The
only safe floating for each of us is to work within the framework of
the Church in the Spirit of Unity. Paul writes in I Cor 3:9 “For we are laborers together with God: ye are Gods husbandry
and Gods building.
Nehemiah
4:6 The enemy sent an invitation to Nehemiah to come to a special
meeting that they had arranged in a village away from Jerusalem. But
Nehemiah perceived that they were interested in only in hindering the
great work that he was doing. So he sent the message “I am
doing a great work”.
Nehemiah
was not doing this great work of building up the walls of Jerusalem
by himself. But he had the oversight of the great work and he was
working under appointment. The king had commissioned him to go and
rebuild the walls. Nehemiah states “so build we the wall---
for the people had a mind to work”. He is saying the wall was
finished because all worked together.
It is
marvelous what can be done even when the odds are against us if we
have a mind to work. We don’t have time to leave off the great
work of the Church of God to wrangle over superficial religious
things that have no spiritual value. Neither do we have time to
wrangle among ourselves over some differences in personal opinions
over how we should do certain things.
The
General Assembly has worked out the system under which we operate and
if we work together as outlined by the Assembly, you can be assured
that our work will move forward in astonishing measures.
When a
change is made in leadership, we must be spiritual minded enough to
build upon one another’s work. If changes are made in a local
church, the outgoing officer should encourage the new one. For if he
starts tearing down the work that has already been done, he will
injure the work and damage his own image. We as ministers and church
members need to build upon one another’s work. We only hurt
our own image in the sight of others, if we criticize one another,
and try to deface the work that has been done. It is necessary that
we strive to build upon the good work that others have started
without trying to find fault of what has been done.
Remember
that God has placed in the church Evangelist, Pastors, Teachers,
Helps, and Governments Eph. 4:11, 1 Cor. 12:28. These have
different offices to hold within the same Church. The Church is
likened unto a building under construction in Ephesians 2; 21. In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy
temple in the Lord.
In
construction work it is necessary to employ workmen with different
skills to work together in building. There are brick layers,
carpenters, plumbers, electricians and others. Sometimes a man
skilled in one thing finds it necessary to install his work in a way
that will assist a man skilled in another. Even though it might be
easier for him to make the installation another way, he still must be
flexible enough to work together with all those who are working on
the building.
This great
work that we are engaged in is much more important than any physical
construction, some of us may have different offices, but we are
working on the same building. Let us stick to what we are appointed
to do and endeavor to do our work in a way that will help make the
other fellows task a pleasant one.
Regardless
of the office or position that we might hold in the church, let us
always be aware that there are others working in important positions
and need our consideration. For we, are Laborers together with God.
Building
New Bridges
Bridges
may need to be built in your home, on your job, in the church, around
your neighborhood or with a friend. Is it possible that some of you
here today have been involved in a round about way in some type of a
church division?
How many
of you have witnessed some leaving the church and go somewhere else?
Maybe some have chosen not to attend a church anymore. Is it possible
that you are thinking about leaving us and attending somewhere else
yourself? Is it possible that you are at fault for some of these
being offended? Do you realize that some here may be the reason why
churches have closed?
There are
some that have offended others and are not aware of it. Then again
there are those that may be aware of it but are not willing to do
something about it. There are those that say they will never return
to us as long as certain people are still present. How often do we
hear of Deacons not getting along and laity disgruntled with one
another? Then there are Pastors not comfortable in one another’s
company.
We need to
build some bridges not tare them down. We will one day be held
accountable for our actions. There needs to be a true spiritual
transformation in each one of our lives and lets go back to building
bridges beginning around the Alter and lets have communion with one
another in the Lord.
Is
there is a purpose for building a bridge?
A Bridge
provides access to another area. As you travel through out this great
land of ours you will notice from time to time a bridge that allows
you to travel to the other side. This bridge may take you from point
A to point B much quicker if built across a great body of water. It
may take you across a wide deep ravine. This is Access.
We may
need to get from point A to point B much quicker with a Brother or
Sister before they wander off and get lost. You may have to cross a
wide deep ravine and make things right with someone you may have had
some differences with.
The enemy
goes around tarring down bridges between Husbands and Wives, Parents
and Children, Workers and Co Workers, Churches, Ministers. May I
remind us that there is no unit more vital than the existence of a
Christian Family. From the beginning God created the family unit. It
is important that Parents talk to your children and teach them
important Christian values.
Before the
Church, before the State God created the Family. God created and
instituted marriage, one Man and one Woman. In Mathew chapter 19,
the Pharisees asked Jesus
“Give
us the grounds for divorce”, instead He gave them he grounds
for marriage. God created and instituted marriage!
When you
have strong families you will have strong churches. When you have
Families that are committed to one another, you will have a church
that will be committed to the work. When Families love and care for
each other, the church will produce love and compassion.
The
greatest bridge ever build is not the Golden Gate Bridge, London’s
Bridge, Florida Keys Bridge nor the Royal Gorge Bridge…. it is
the bridge that Jesus Christ built when He took His placed on the
Cross.
A
bridge of redemption, forgiveness and Salvation was built between us
and the Father in Heaven. We have access to the Father in heaven
through Jesus Christ. We have been adopted and He gives us Affection and heals our Afflictions and now we have
this Alliance with him and the Assurance that if we
remain faithful we will one day see him and spend eternity with Him!
Build
with a Vision
Several
churches have had the vision of expanding the Body of Christ. For the
past eight years or so, the Minnesota folks have had church meetings
and fellowship dinners with the Russian church in Minneapolis. I
along with Bishop Hunter have personally been associated with some of
the members of that church and we have had the privilege to speak in
their church. The Anoka youth have had several activities with their
youth and a Christian relationship has been bonded between them.
For the
last seven years the Hispanic churches in Lexington Nebraska, Des
Moines and Osceola Iowa have had several joint services with at least
four other organizations. Minneapolis Spanish Mission has done the
same.
Des Moines “City Life Worship Center” has had joint services with
the Church of God and the Church of God in Christ on monthly bases.
Thomas Ave North “River of Life”
have had
meetings with the Church of God and the Ethiopian congregation.
Council Bluffs has had inter-denominational meetings with other
organizations in their area.
This is
Bridge building with a purpose to bring the Family of God closer
together to worship Him and draw close to Him, which in turn draws us
closer to one another. The vision is to see the Kingdom of God grow
to such a numerical number that we become a mighty army moving
forward in the name of the Lord to conquer and claim back that which
the enemy has stolen from the Kingdom of God.
Together
we can build strong bridges that will withstand any tempest and any
storm that the enemy may launch out at us. On these bridges we will
walk over the raging Seas and powerful boisterous waves. The bridge
may shake and weave a bit and at times seem like it can’t take
anymore. But we know the Master builder and if we follow His plan and
blueprint and build accordingly, these bridges will withstand
anything the enemy has to throws at us.
At times
we may fall off the bridge into the unforgiving waters, but remember
the One who walks above all storms and waves is nearby to reach out
and rescue us if we just cry out like Peter….”Lord Save
Me”! In an instant the lord will take a hold of your hand and
before you know it you will be back on top continuing your walk to
the other side. The storm will cease and the work will continue in
building bridges with Purpose and with Vision.
Pastors
the Church is not long for this planet! We as ministers of the Gospel
must get this message out to those who will hear. Let not our pulpits
be silent anymore concerning this great event.
There is
one more bridge to cross. We must make all things right with our
Brothers and Sisters here on this side for soon we will soon meet
face to face with the one who will bring the final judgment.
Preach the
Word and let it be so hot with the Holy Ghost and Fire that it will
fuse our souls to the one who has redeemed us. The Lord is soon to
return and we must be ready!
